Motivating Smokers to Quit

Continuing Education:

Purpose:
This program will discuss tobacco cessation strategies for clinicians and resources available to their clients.

Target Audience:
Physicians, advance practice clinicians, nurses and other clinical staff who care for and/or manage patients who use tobacco.

· Participants will be prepared to refer smokers to available smoking treatment resources
· Discuss the underlying perspectives of motivational interviewing
