Amanda Brown, MPH

Amanda Brown is a Senior Trainer at CAI with over fifteen years of experience in the field of reproductive health. For the past decade, she has led capacity building activities including training development/delivery and technical assistance to family planning agencies throughout New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Amanda's areas of expertise include adolescent health, behavior change, motivational interviewing, cultural competency and HIV/AIDS test services. In addition to her work as part of CAIs family planning team, she also helps design and deliver trainings as part of the following CAI projects: WIC, Tobacco Control, Community Health Worker, CAPC and NYS AIDS Institute. This is Amanda's third time being a part of the NATISHE Core Staff.

Donald A. Dyson, MSS, PhD.

Dr. Don Dyson has been working with NATISHE for over a decade. He is an Assistant Professor in the Widener University Program in Human Sexuality. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Widener's Center for Social Work Education. Prior to that, he was the coordinator of STD prevention education for the State of New Jersey's Department of Health. His experience includes work with Cicatelli Associates and Planned Parenthood of DE. He specializes in the training of sexuality professionals, the intersect between Social Work and Human Sexuality, and has specific interest in the areas of ethics, multiculturalism and reproductive health.

Amelia M. Hamarman, M.S.Ed, M.S

Amelia Matlack Hamarman has worked in the field of sexual health education for over 12 years and is currently the Sexually Transmitted Disease Education Coordinator for the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services where one of her favorite projects is NATISHE! Her previous work includes several years in Philadelphia area community-based organizations designing and implementing various educational programs on topics such as STDs (including HIV), risk reduction, sexual assault and communication skills for groups ranging from middle school students to adult professionals. Amelia also has a background in Online Instructional Design and has recently designed and taught an online course about teaching sexuality online for Widener University's graduate program in Human Sexuality Education. This is Amelia's 5th year on the Core Staff at NATISHE.

Doris J. Saintil, MPH

Doris Saintil has worked in the field of public health as a trainer, educator, evaluator, and volunteer for over 15 years. She is currently Deputy Director of the NYS WIC Training Center and a senior trainer at Cicatelli Associates Inc. As Deputy Director of the NYS WIC Training Center, Ms. Saintil works to develop innovative training designs and deliver training and technical assistance to WIC local agencies. Her areas of expertise include group facilitation skills, enhanced outreach, cultural competency, quality assurance, adolescent development, counseling skills, and behavioral science theory. During her 12 year tenure at CAI, Ms. Saintil has managed a number of training contracts related to improving the health of diverse communities including those living with HIV, high-risk pregnant and parenting women, substance users, and adolescents.

Ms. Saintil received her Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) certificate in July 2010. She received her BA from Wellesley College and her Masters Degree in Public Health from the Mailman School at Columbia University. This is her inaugural year as NATISHE Core Staff.

Allyson Sandak, M.A., C.S.E.

Allyson Sandak is the new Training and Technical Assistance Manager at Answer and has over 12 years of experience in the sexuality education field. She previously served as the Associate Director of Education at Planned Parenthood of Central and Greater Northern New Jersey where she provided comprehensive sexuality education and training workshops for adolescents, parents, older adults and professionals nationwide. Prior to joining Planned Parenthood, Allyson managed the adolescent HIV prevention program and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Health and Wellness program at Community Health Action of Staten Island, NY. Allyson's areas of interest include curriculum / lesson development and providing professional development training. Allyson is the co-author of Older, Wiser, Sexually Smarter: 30 Sex-Ed Lessons for Adults Only and has contributed sexuality education lessons to several teaching manuals. She also served as the editor-in-chief of Contemporary Sexuality, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counsellors and Therapists' publication and as an adjunct faculty member at Montclair State University in New Jersey.

Dr. Erika Evans-Weaver, PhD., LMFT

Dr. Erika Evans-Weaver is a specialist in the fields of family and sexual therapy. She has been contributor to sexualhealth.com and is Regional Director of the Pennsylvania Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She has a private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy (Lessons in Freedom and Empowerment) and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor and Field Placement Director at Widener University. Erika has been employed in a number of community-based organizations providing counseling and education to staff and clients about culture and sensitivity, effective communication skills, female sexual health, lifespan development, relationship training all of which coincide with her specific interest and expertise. Erika is excited to work with diverse populations in a multitude of professional settings as an educator, a clinician and an advocate for positive change, positive sexual habits, and a healthy life. This is her inaugural year as NATISHE Core Staff.
