Meeting Overview

In the 35th year of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (GNY ANAC) convened its 27th annual conference.

The purpose of this conference was to better understand the key populations that are most impacted by HIV, learn best practices around diagnosing, treating and working with these patients, and find how nurses and other healthcare professionals can best work with this population. The number of new infections in the United States has been stagnant for many years, and we must find new ways to combat the epidemic from continuing.
