CPPW Tobacco Mentoring Grant

In partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, CAI builds community capacity to implement population-based approaches to reduce tobacco use. CAI employs peer-to-peer mentoring, training, and capacity building that is evidence-based and outcome-focused. Using the collaborative learning model, CAI aims to close the gap between what we know and what we do, creating a structure in which Communities Putting Prevention to Work teams learn from each other and from expert mentors. The project bridges the gap between knowledge and practice by linking participants to experts who assist participants in developing, implementing and monitoring population-based tobacco reduction programs.
