Training Centers

The National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers is a CDC-funded group of regional centers created in partnership with health departments and universities. Ten of the centers provide STD clinical training, four centers provide behavioral and social intervention training, and four centers provider partner services and program support training. Each center offers a variety of courses, all include experiential, skills-building components.

The Prevention Training Centers (PTCs) are dedicated to increasing the knowledge and skills of health professionals in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, and provides health professionals with a spectrum of state-of-the-art educational opportunities, including experiential learning with an emphasis on prevention.

The New York City STD/HIV PTC delivers STD clinical training for Region II. The New York State STD/HIV PTC provides behavioral and social interventions training, as well as partner services and program support training for the region. Contact the following offices for course information.
